I am a 28-year-old woman and my husband is 30. We
have been married for four and a half years. He does not have a blood
sugar problem, but his cholesterol level is on the higher side. He is
currently taking medication for a psychiatric problem. My periods are
regular. Since both of us are working, we get intimate only on weekends.
We have been trying to have intercourse, but have failed. We visited a
sexologist who advised us to do the Penile-Doppler Scan, which showed
that my husband has Erectile Dysfunction. Our doctor says he’ll give us
the secular sex therapy (separating us from family, friends and work)
for a week. He promised that this would help us have intercourse. Is
this the right treatment?

This is one of the ways to treat erectile dysfunction. There are other ways which he must have discussed with you.
